Progress continues, albeit a bit slower at the moment. The last panel (FO) has been completely rewired and is ready for installation. UP11, the upper flight engineer panel, is also now complete, with all instruments, switches, and lights fully operational. I had already modified the instruments back in 2018, but there were inconsistencies in the wiring that caused the instrument motors to run incorrectly or not at all. All of that has now been resolved.
Also, I am in the process of fixing the RH rudder pedals cover which was heavily corroded. It will soon be ready for painting and can then be installed followed by the FO panel.
In the cockpit, I’ve continued with the wiring work. Pre-made D-Sub cables are being routed from the FE panel and overhead panel toward the front, where the weather radar used to be—this space will house all the electronics. At the beginning of 2026, the cockpit will finally be moved to its new home, where the simulator can be assembled and all electronics installed. Currently, this isn’t possible due to the open shed. 2026 will be an exciting year as everything comes together and is brought back to life.
