Progress

Over the past few days, there has been a lot to do. I removed the cabin wall behind the cockpit on the right side. It wasn’t original and had been badly damaged during scrapping. The 6mm plywood is being replaced, and everything will be put back in its proper place. A small shelf for all the Lufthansa 707 manuals will be added to the back side. My father’s old workstation — the co-pilot’s side — also received a lot of attention. Everything is back in place. Power has been restored for the lighting, the oxygen system is connected, and the gasper outlets now have new 25mm pipes for fresh air. Everything will be fully functional again. The oxygen masks are also planned to work — the connection is quite simple, as they still use the standard compressed air fittings common today! I also tested the relays; unfortunately, one (generator breaker – GB) is defective — it already was during its time as a training aircraft as it had a label on it. Does anyone happen to have a spare? 🙂
